Today we did the following:

1. Spelling pre-test: Unit 10
2. Corrected pre-tests
3. Checked rough draft of parody (due today!)
4. Reviewed dialogue punctuation rules
5. Assigned/completed three dialogue worksheets

HW- Typed draft of parody and dialogue worksheets due tomorrow

Friday, December 11

Today we did the following:

1. Spelling test unit 9
2. Corrected/Collected tests
3. Finished writing parody rough draft

HW- Rough draft of parody due MONDAY, Typed draft due TUESDAY

Requirements of parody essay----

1. Creative title
2. At least one aspect/ method of parody present
3. Beginning/Middle/End
4. Creativity
5. At least five paragraphs in length
6. Dialogue between characters
7. Purpose of parody present (ridicule/comic effect)

Monday, December 7

Today we did the following:

1. Spelling: Pre-Test for unit nine
2. Corrected pre-test
3. Returned graded book-talks (currency exchange)
4. Poetry anthology- self-evaluation, shared with groups, turned projects in
5. Parody Essay- returned proposals and discussed

NO Homework :)

Cover
Table of contents
Preface/Dedication
Biography
10 works from other poets
12 personal poems

***bound together, completely typed (except concrete poem)
